Munster were brutal yesterday. A real problem is emerging for them which is if they can't bully a side they've no other plan.

I think in years gone by they had ROG to steer them, sometimes despite themselves, into a winning position. Nobody to do that with neither Keatley, Tyler or JJ looking up to it when the pressure is on.

And yes Zebo and Sweetnam looked like they had been sharing the chocolate spread.

Years gone by they had a pack ROG could play behind. He might help a bit now, but not that much.

Has anybody else noticed that Munster's second rows at the moment [Darren O'Shea, Patsy Kleyn and Gerbrandt Grobler Drug Gobbler] look like the bad giants from the BFG? No?

I think Liverpool might have beaten them by a couple of years but thankfully they don't let originality get in their way.

Munster are signing Irish qualified Sale fullback Mike Hayley for next season (via 42)

going by comments Sale fans seem very unhappy hes going which is a good sign, but also oddly people are reacting like hes a project player and not somebody whose Dad/'s family are from Limerick, guess its complicated by playing for the Saxons and England v Babas

personally Im delighted they got someone IQ. Exeter were after him too which is also a good sign

No, he played for them against a team that wasn't a disqualifying level team

Apparently they also bought him out of his contract a year earlier. It's stuff like this that p*sses Connacht fans off. Zebo leaves and the IRFU buy them a new shiny player which probably cost them a good rake of cash if he had a year left. Can you imagine anything like that happening at another province? And if so can you imagine the whining coming from the Munster fans?

Has that been confirmed? I'd be surprised if Sale just let him go for free but if Exeter were after him too he'd obviously decided he was leaving so could be all sorts of combos of release fees and who paid what between Munster and IRFU and player

TBH I'm glad TOH stayed put but I'd prefer a small fee for an IQ player than higher wages for a non IQ player to replace Zebo
