Based on past problems he seems to be the type of guy who as soon as he is drunk just seems to lose any common sense whatsoever. Wonder will this get him fired?

Paid a 2k fine and released, will be good to see if he turns up at Ravenhill on Saturday to play against Billy Burns who he replaced at Gloucester

All depends, was he involved in a private WhatsApp group chat in which he said something along the lines of, "yes there were a lot of fists".sunshiner1 wrote:Based on past problems he seems to be the type of guy who as soon as he is drunk just seems to lose any common sense whatsoever. A harlequins coach is in hospital in jersey after falling out a hotel window at 4am. What is it about the place?

He stole her away from Thom Evans and then was enough of a c~*k to get binned by her. A test and a fool.Blue not red blood wrote:IN fairness to Cipriani, he did go out with Kelly Brook

Oh I don't know, where do you think Eddie J would put preseason fights in the Pro/Cons spreadsheet?nc6000 wrote:Ashton now doing his best to not get back into the England squad.......

Probably not too highly but it's a handy reason to not pick him.Peg Leg wrote:Oh I don't know, where do you think Eddie J would put preseason fights in the Pro/Cons spreadsheet?nc6000 wrote:Ashton now doing his best to not get back into the England squad.......

If he gets a ban which covers all the games up to the first squad announcement it might be a factor - a possibility even if it was a pre-season friendlyPeg Leg wrote:Oh I don't know, where do you think Eddie J would put preseason fights in the Pro/Cons spreadsheet?nc6000 wrote:Ashton now doing his best to not get back into the England squad.......

I like your right leg. A lovely leg for the role.
I've got nothing against your right leg.
The trouble is ... neither have you

It seems very harsh, it took me a few goes to actually see the incident. Looked like Kockott was being a knob then feigned injury, he was up pretty sprightly moments later. Not sure if I would call it a tip tackle either (from that angle anyway it is unclear).

I like Ashton and I find it amusing the hate he gets. But if it's a choice between Ashton and Rory 'The Man Who Kicked The Ball Dead In Twickenham' Kockott, it's the latter all day! (Even if he is a bit of a tool).

Re: Aviva Premiership: something exciting happens
I thought similar. It was reckless and stupid but I don't think it was particularly malicious. To me, he throws Kockott up in the air and then Kockott makes a meal of it as he heads to the ground. Hard to account for that at the hearing though, the onus is really just on Ashton. Still think Ashton deserved a ban, but 7 weeks is ridiculous IMO. If Kockott had landed knee, hip, shoulder (like I think he could have) then I'd say a one week ban would have been fine.OTT wrote:It seems very harsh, it took me a few goes to actually see the incident. Here's another angle where you can see it a bit clearerLeRouxIsPHat wrote:I thought similar. It was reckless and stupid but I don't think it was particularly malicious.
