That was a great game. We had an amazing time in Castres back in 09 so delighted for them.

Hes right about James (sorry but he had good moments in the final, but didn't offer them any control when they needed it, played too much rugby in their own half), but hes the one that has picked James consistently over the years.
but when skrela is the backup i'd go for james too

James is the better player, Skrela Is the safer option. Clermont didn't need James to win, they only needed Skrela.

Cotter went for James.

james is the better player, which kind of explains why cotter preferred him.

i disagree that the match could have been won with skrela. i'd have moved parra to 10 before i'd put skrela on the field.

Why? They were (edit) two scores up with relative ease just after half time. In theory they should have been even further ahead. They were that dominant. All they needed was a bit of territory and a little less risk taking and the game would have been tied up.

I'm not Skrela's biggest fan but he is an ex-international who won the HEC with Toulouse just a few years back. He also played a key role when Toulouse gave us a good beating in the HEC semi-final. The guy can do a job.

Castres deserves to win. They played with them hearts and them brains.

Now we can say that Allain Rolland is probably the RCT player of the year.

Nice for Castres and delighted the Toulon horror show didn't do the double.

I wonder if Cotter and Noves will still seek to copy their blue-print to success?

The departing Nick Kennedy has just signed for Quins.

Having lost 2 players to retirement through injury last week (Will Skinner and Olly Kohn), this is some welcome good news.

Kennedy thanked the Toulon pres for allowing his early release; apparently he didn't settle in the south of France and he still has international aspirations and wants to play in the 2015 RWC.
