After 38 votes, I believe your humble home is safe.Laighindown wrote:

a) POC is an Irish legend, he did no wrong
b) POC is an Irish legend, but he was out of line and should have taken his medicine (been cited)
c) POC is a Munster thug and he should have been banned for 8 weeks
d) POC is a %&*%$£* and should never play again
I would bet my humble home that b) "POC is an Irish legend, but he was out of line and should have taken his medicine" would vastly outnumber any other options (especially C or D). I gather from posters who have been peeking into Munster Fans that a) would be a landslide victory there - but again, maybe not.

Purely accidental, but he should have been cited.
The comments from some people from both sets of fans, on both forums, is a reminder of how ridiculously things can escalate online. Some really embarrassing stuff.

It does not look good for rugby to have an action like that not result in a citing. He may have appeared in front of a citing commission who would review it and let him off but he should at least have gone that far. The citing system needs a major overhaul.
I have previously suggested and will again that the IRB should run it. There should be one body responsible for citing in world rugby. They should appoint neutral citing commissioners and convene a hearing by video conference with three judges from neutral countries. This could all be done faster than currently happens which would also help the accused as they would know their fate sooner. The tech is there it just needs to be used. This should also provide a more consistent outcome in sentencing.

Easiest choice ever. Thank you for offering those options. Had a wild ride on my Facebook page with this topic to say the very least, should have done a poll like this.
