I had been wondering a bit about Munster cutting him.

He has his limits but he's a solid hard-working player who'd been getting lots of game time and who was actually very useful. Consistent starter for Northampton and Munster, you'd think he has something to offer.

Am surprised he got 2 year deal but hes probably a cheap enough squad player for them

Make sense for Glasgow, Russel will play at 10 this season with Jackson gone and national side needing to find a good 10, and Dunbar will probably be off with Scotland a good bit.

I suppose the fact that he's unlikely to be selected for Ireland he should see plenty of game time and unlike Munster Glasgow are a team on the up so 2 years is a great contract for him. He'll also benefit from working with a good coach in Townsend.

I think it's a great move for both. With a team who like to offload as often as they do, a bosher with a bit of pace is ideal. Delighted for him and hoping he has the indiane summer he could have had if he was used right in Munster.

A whole summer is a long tome to be in anyone PG, lets hope he gets some good pre-season in too.

Too late? Phooey! Mafi had his defence prepared for the late/high tackle citing.

And yet in October they'll try and tell us, like they do everyvyear on their site, that Ulster and Munster have moved ahead of Leinster in provincial power rankings.

They must hate this. Having no rugby in May as Leinster win another title.

Munster played Edinburgh on 3 May, Ulster 3rd May and Glasgow on 16th May this year. :D

It seems that Munster played exactly the same no of games as Leinster last season when you take Leinster's failure to make a Heineken Cup semifinal this year into account!
