Treviso just got tonked by a not massively strong looking Connacht too.
between this and the recent Ospreys result, Treviso don't seem to be even trying any more. Disgraceful

the tmo disallowed what looked like a good try for the blues, have to say they have been nothing short of pathetic this year in the league and I'm not sure how much longer Phil Davies will remain in charge there.

On the plus side for you If they can beat Toloun though no reason why you guys cant!

Zebre draw vs newport brings them level with Treviso.
The changes to European qualification next year make the battle between the Italian teams a bit more interesting.
It means that Glasgows 3 italian matches may not be easy as expected...

Yeah, Treviso looked like they cared last week, which they haven't seemed to have done in a while. Good. Their collapse this year has been a disgrace and if Zebre take the European spot this year nobody but themselves to blame.

It would be a bit funny if Connacht and Zebre both ended up in the Heineken equivalent next year after qualifying by right.

cant say theyre not elite now, Italian federation would laugh too and it will only worsen the exodus at Treviso

Best thing about Zebre's win is that it keeps the pressure on Treviso to get a result against Glasgow next week.

With yer wan Swanepoel scoring a try and 3 conversions for Brive.

And it was an away game too. Delighted for them, they've worked very hard for this - don't expect they'll be the bottom placed Italian team this season.

They nearly weren't last season. Treviso had a minor rally to mediocrity after their collapse.

Totally! Not that the Celtic League partners will get any thanks for it (even from the Italians) but Zebre are a success that would not have arising if not for the inclusion of they and Treviso (even ill-fated Aironi) in the Pro-12. Glad it was a T14 or Premiership club they beat too.
