Yeah he did, in the same way that Ferris bit Hartley's hand when Hartley shoved his hand in his mouth. It was just to try and stop him stamping on his hand, don't know how he didn't jump up and go for him afterwards.

BBC saying Cooper bit his calf.
After Phillips stands on him, which is probably fair enough.

I saw the incident mentioned in a good few places yesterday so just assumed he'd been cited. Ridiculous that he hasn't been.

Over on the rumour thread, Ror said he had bad news. With Jamie and Seans contract up the first thing that came to my mind was that we were going to sign Mike Philips.

Cooper is trying to kill the ball with his hand when is off his feet. Phillips is miles away from his head or his b@lls so I have no problem with giving him a bit of a shoeing the same would apply if it was done to Phillips It's international rugby not tiddly winks.

If you want Phillips cited for the rake/stamp you must want cooper cited for the bite (looked more like a nibble to me )

As for Phillips he hasn't played well since the world cup in 2011 and now he gets another big money move, doubt his average (to say the least) service will do much for Sexton's game

Quelle surprise!

Wales scrumhalf Mike Phillips has signed for Racing Métro, the club's president Jacky Lorenzetti has confirmed.

Can't agree. It's a deliberate stamp down on a hand that's nowhere near the ball. Completely different to rucking a guy out of the way. He keeps it there for a couple of seconds too, disgusting.

That's the beauty of the game we all see things differently and I am seeing this through welsh tinted eyes and I am probably biased on this matter.

Phillips could always use the Horwill line "that he was spun off balance and tried to keep his footing" :D

These things do happen in a game of such intensity it was foul play but to me if you put your hands into a ruck and try to slow ball down you can expect to get stamped on (granted he did seem to leave his foot on him for a bit long!).

I'm sure cooper would take the stamp as long as his team won the game every day of the week.

Lets be honest these tri nations sides have taken liabilities year after year with our players especially when we tour there so I'm less inclined to feel any remorse when our lads dish it back out to them

What I don't get is how is he "hoping to play next Saturday" Is he not cup tied from playing in the Amlin with Bayonne?

Playing in the Amlin doesn't cup-tie you from the HEC, but playing in the HEC cup-ties you from the Amlin. However if Racing drop down to the Amlin he will be cup-tied by his Bayonne appearance
