As of last week there was no one and the real prospect of no one before the start of the season
Surely not. I can see it being a difficult sell due the welsh delaying them going to the market but there must be someone out there who is interested in being associated with the league and getting their name blared out on Sky Sports.
They've yet to get a sponsor who are even in the relevant countries.

It's a complicated sell to try and get full value.

Heineken or Diagio are in all of the countries, then you have the car manufacturers and airlines after that it starts to get pretty sparse

Pharmaceuticals, telecoms, soft drinks, food chains, insurance, energy markets, retail, hospitality, manufacturing, banking, oil/petrol. Just a few other europe wide industries to choose from.

I am sure somebody looking for a sponsor has already come up with a list like that. It does make you think of alternatives like Reb Bull, Vodafone, Santander etc

Not a lot of those operate in all of the countries, Italy is an extremely difficult market to infiltrate for non Italian companies, Heineken bought their way in by buying out a couple of brewers and Diagio has spent years getting a small whiskey business built up, food chains and even producers are very loathe to attempt to gain a market share and most of their budgets are minimal amounts.
Italians are very nationalistic and few buy imported goods if possible to buy local, food that can be grown there generally is not supplemented out of season with imports, the same goes for just about everything else.

had a gander on Glasgow forum, theyre getting the Hogg rumours from exact same sources as us
year left on his deal, bought a house in Glasgow last year. might be premature/buyout offputting
only thing they have to add is Glasgow meant to be getting an Ulster NIQ in exchange/instead of buyout which means Nick Williams

What about Ryanair?
They have a foothold in the the 5 jurisdictions. Have loads of dosh. Their CEO is a Leinster man, (I Think), he lives here anyway. They are looking to drop their hard, cold, uncaring image and be more customer friendly. Rugby, although small has a very positive public image. It's a match made in heaven really.

How would it look when they hike up prices with inside knowledge of fixtures before general release?
