Only if you're an Ulster, Ospreys, Blues, Treviso, Edinburgh, Glasgow or Munster fanLeRouxIsPHat wrote:That is very depressing reading.
Connacht seem to be the only side recruiting well so far, have a feeling Zebre might recruit well

Cardiff aren't doing that bad apart from losing 1/2p.simonokeeffe wrote:Only if you're an Ulster, Ospreys, Blues, Treviso, Edinburgh, Glasgow or Munster fanLeRouxIsPHat wrote:That is very depressing reading.

Umm checked again. Hoeata is probably below Davies level at lock but plays 6 too and I know the name Tuifua but can't place it.
Yeah it's all gone to sh!t.

Re: Players In/Out 14/15 (other league teams)
The way things are going I can see Connacht making the top 6 next season. This league would be in serious bother without Glasgow's improvement in recent years and it would be just if they reached a Pro 12 final this year. Edinburgh and the Italian sides are beyond desperate, and there just doesn't appear to be enough depth in Welsh rugby to cushion so many of the top players absconding to France and England. This whole league is in a delicate place, and hopefully the Sky coverage and a new sponsorship deal can give it the shot in the arm it needs.

Fair enough you'd expect the teams who are bleeding players to announce some signings soon but even then it's hard to see many of the teams reaching the required standard.

I think Dragons have recruited very well indeed and will push all the other Welsh clubs for that top Welsh spot
Re: Players In/Out 14/15 (other league teams)
The rush from Wales and Scotland to English clubs is depressing reading alright for the overall quality of the league.
The French have already taken their best and now the English are taking the rest.

Re: Players In/Out 14/15 (other league teams)
The problem for the Pro 12 sides is that while it's a different "country" it's the same country. The Welsh players going to places like Bath, Gloucester and Bristol probably just have a longer drive to work. No paperwork/upheaval beyond the usual changing of jobs and the wife and children face no disruption to their lives.Donny B. wrote:The rush from Wales and Scotland to English clubs is depressing reading alright for the overall quality of the league.

Didn't Dwayne Peel cite the need for a different style of life and culture as being his rationale for moving to Manchester?Vamos los azules wrote:The problem for the Pro 12 sides is that while it's a different "country" it's the same country. Cardiff losing their only good goalkicker, their main ball carrier/backrower, his backup, best lock, and am expecting Filise to retire on age groundsMorf wrote:Cardiff aren't doing that bad apart from losing 1/2p.simonokeeffe wrote:Only if you're an Ulster, Ospreys, Blues, Treviso, Edinburgh, Glasgow or Munster fanLeRouxIsPHat wrote:That is very depressing reading.

Tuifua was mid season signing made permanent at 13, doing well
Dragons doing ok, the 2 guys they are losing are good though

You can add Franco vd Merwe to the list of Ulster 'ins' for next season. They're also signing Louis Ludik from Agen and bringing back iHumph, by all accounts.

I'm being hardcore on the integrity front and only doing confirmed ones, so unless you have a linkcormac wrote:You can add Franco vd Merwe to the list of Ulster 'ins' for next season. They're also signing Louis Ludik from Agen and bringing back iHumph, by all accounts.
