French Top14

Post by VGE »

Here is the final ranking

1/Toulon
2/Montpellier
3/ASM
4/Toulouse
5/Racing Metro
6/Castres

QF Toulouse/Racing Metro, May 9th
ASM/Castres May 10th

SF Toulon/Toulouse or Racing Metro May 16th
Montpellier/ASM or Castres May 17th

Final May 31th

Really don't know... Toulouse didn't play a good rugby this year but is about to play his... 21th SF in 21 years if they beat Racing Metro.
ASM has to win its 78th match home to play his 8th SF in 8 years with Vern Cotter. But they play a very poor rugby for a very long time.

Toulon will cope with the HCup Final... That's why I don't give them a chance, even they can do it.

I would bet for Montpellier/ASM and Toulon/Racing (the outsider everybody is fearing) in SF

Final Montpellier/Racing, and Montpellier Champion for the first time.

But I'm still dreaming about a ASM/Toulouse Final, and a Brennus for celebrating Cotter's last match.

Fair play to JS10 for getting his team to 4th after a sketchy start

Watched a bit of the Montpellier v Racing game on Saturday, where Racing got absolutely thrashed. The co-commentator mentioned that Sexton had been Racing's outstanding player this season and was the reason they made the playoffs. Now I don't know how true that is but I'll choose to believe it, he scored all of Racings 10 points in the game.
p.s. they were 5th btw
Dont Panic!

Yes they are.
That's why they have to play them QF away.

Hoping Toulouse win because they're a proper rugby club with proper fans and because Metro success might encourage J10 to stay in France.....

Racing's attacking strategy seems to be one up and under after another.

That's why it should never be their decision. Too brave, too young, too reckless.

Racing's defence is pretty awful. I was going to suggest Toulouse just need to pass and run and they'll get through them when they threw a comedy pass to the touchline. Things are not what they were.

Hit it one more time and quit, okay? Hit it like we did before the bridge. Hit it and quit it.
