Good signing by Munster. I am still hopefull that we see Foley and Ryan as our starting second row pair for next season, but this adds good depth in the second row.

Munster are still in the market for a Th, so we will still be over the quota, but this is probably compensation for POC leaving.

As already stated, by December munster will be down to 4 Niq players, 2 of those will be project players. So not much of an ask to be allowed sign another Niq, especially as it was the irfu who allowed Poc to break his contract.

As already stated, by December munster will be down to 4 Niq players, 2 of those will be project players. So not much of an ask to be allowed sign another Niq, especially as it was the irfu who allowed Poc to break his contract.

Munster not doing too bad with the Chisolm signing:

PO€ = 1 season contract, possibly miss half season due to international duty.
Chislom = 2 season contract, no international duty.

Winners all 'round, possible only victim being PO€'s ligindary status as the € proves more important than the red jersey.

I wouldn't expect that it will take too long for a second row to bed in. It a lot different to a loose forward or a back.

A big plus is that he has been abroad for a few seasons so home sickness should not be an issue.

More good news for Munster (from IT)

Irish internationals Robin Copeland (shoulder), Dave Foley (wrist) and Mike Sherry (shoulder) have all reported back fully fit for Foley’s squad, while Kiwi back Bleyendaal will make his debut at Thomond Park on Friday after recovering from the neck injury that postponed the start of his Munster career, having been signed over a year ago

“We’ll hopefully see Gerhardt on Friday night and Mike (Sherry) I’m probably going to look at a game further on. Just with the length of time he’s been out; I want to keep him in pre-season an extra week or two and we’ll definitely see him in pre-season.”
