Cardiff back in WRU hands. No idea whats changing hands, but apparently the WRU are in control while the owners pursue a development deal.

They only moved back in 8 years ago and now they want a dome and are getting rid of the rugby team because it's a distraction...

It begs the question why hand over the rugby team to the WRU? Surely they can manage both at the same time.....unless

I'm sure many of their fans are against union ownership. This 'babysitting' talk might just be a way to get the fans used to wru ownership before they make it official.

Methinks the fans thinks the union can for lots of dual contracts and the clubs will get big private investment like when regions had relatively big budgets and did will. Problem is even at height of the boom the investors were getting turned off and they were investing half of what would be needed now to be competitive

Think the only team to invest in a new stadium was the Scarlets. Fairly certain the Liberty was built by the local council and Cardiff were only ever tenants at the football stadium.

There was an investigation into the tax affairs and legality of some of those Welsh stadiums, Liberty certainly was under investigation

I would say their heads were in the clouds via their arses, if they joined the AP they would struggle along with at least one side in the Championship if not 2

At the very least we can expect the Adam Byrne appreciation choir to boost the numbers. They have submitted a group petition for ticket concessions.
