As things stand can't put in a 4G as one of the other sides is Newport County soccer side who aren't allowed to play on plastic surfaces. Of course if they move on - no problem.
Thought it was two rugby teams. :?

Dragons dont own the grounds, theyre effectively a brand and norhinf more. Dave parade is owned by Newport RFC which is separate to NGD/Dragons
Ruddock's tackle stats consistently too low for me to be taken seriously as a Six Nations blindside..... Ruddock's defensive stats don't stack up. - All Blacks Nil, Jan 15th, 2014
England A 8 - 14 Ireland A, 25th Jan 2014

Good move for WRU. It might cost them a bit more in some ways but they'll have potential to manage better.

On the other hand they can't be too generous or the other sides will be jealous (but maybe that's the plan).

You can be guaranteed the other regions will want increased funding especially if Dragons start beating them. Its easier than admitting their own fupp ups centred on white elephant stadia but ironic considering their opposition to central contracts

Scarlets BP v Edinburgh must now, almost certainly, condemn Connacht to the playoffs at best.

Would say so as things stand Quins and Toulouse are possible SF opponents.

Yup. Only Issue for Connacht is to finish as best Pro 12 playoff side in case Edinburgh win the Not The Amlin. Playing La Rochelle in QF - will depend on what sort of team they send etc.

Bath Gloucester Hairsprays all left so Edinburgh are doooomed

Playoff format was such an AngloFrench carve up

Agreed the 20th spot should go to:
1 The winners of the Champions Cup if they have not already qualified via League
2 The winners of the Challenge Cup (as per 1)
3 Extra spot for League of winners of Challenge Cup

would be a lot fairer

Plus the playoffs are a bit of an extra f you to summer tours

In other news AWJ out for 6 weeks. Will miss the big game in 2 weeks.
Can't use a plastic rugby pitch for soccer anyway as the fibres are too long and can't use a soccer one for rugby as they are too short, different spec surfaces.
Anyway as I have said before technically there is no such thing as a 4G pitch, it is a marketing term used for a certain sub type of 3G surface.

By my reckoning with the weekend results Leinster are now guaranteed a Top Six place and a place in Europe next season.

6th place Glasgow on 51 so there is a "mathematical" chance of them catching us. They would have to get a BP win in RDS and Thomond park and we would have to pick up no losing BPs (or obviously wins or draws) in any game

Glasgow are not making the playoffs this season. For a start I'm busy that weekend so they better not!!!
