Could that be it for him? He's 32 in February.simonokeeffe wrote:Tommy Bowe out for 6-9 months with knee ligaments according to RTE
Re: Ulster 2015/16
35 used to be the age, then 34. Now 32? Really? What age are you (20s, 30s, 40s)?
...a beautiful weighted pass...it is 3 on 2...it is 3 on 1...Hickie!...Magnificent!
Re: Ulster 2015/16
Same knee as last time but different ligaments by reports and the older you are the harder it is to fix ligament damageribs wrote:35 used to be the age, then 34. Now 32? Really? What age are you (20s, 30s, 40s)?
Re: Ulster 2015/16
35 used to be the age if you weren't injured. overcoming a serious knee injury, and not his 1st, at 31/32 is not guarantee.ribs wrote:35 used to be the age, then 34. Now 32? Really? What age are you (20s, 30s, 40s)?
then factor in his position and he is under the cosh to make it back to previous level of certain starter for Ireland.

He misses 6n and summer tour he has a lot of ground to make up in a small window before they really have to start picking a team with 2019 in mind
Jackson being back made a huge difference

Other reports today have it as 2 months? So Who knows? Pretty ugly win for Ulster last night, got the BP by 50m, almost blew the win towards the end. Poor performance in general, lucky Cardiff were worse!simonokeeffe wrote:Tommy Bowe out for 6-9 months with knee ligaments according to RTE

Between Bowe, Payne and Henderson Ulster have had a shocking WC.
Re: Ulster 2015/16
How did Leinster get so lucky with so many in the squad. Especially when Ulster and Toulon were so hard hit.
We must be due something awful

Re: Ulster 2015/16
MOC's coming back? Jimmy to ten, Sexton to 12.
That's rotten luck for Ulster but at least they're well covered in the backs, much harder to replace Henderson though. They're seriously up against it in Europe now.

We had 19 players missing for the 1st 5 games of the season.johng wrote:How did Leinster get so lucky with so many in the squad. Especially when Ulster and Toulon were so hard hit.

We've done our bit.
You know I'm going to lose,
And gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live FOREVER!

I reckon we should throw it and concentrate on the league, Sarries plus Toulouse and you are depending on everyone beating everyone else at home and a few bonus points to decide resulting in an away QF anyway if we did scrape through, just really hate the thought of that hateful mob from Saracens beating us at homesimonokeeffe wrote:knowing we spawned Neil Francis?johng wrote:How did Leinster get so lucky with so many in the squad. Re: Ulster 2015/16
We will give them a rough time anyway, they're as well thought of as a STDFlash Gordon wrote:Don't agree Ballyman. I think the player base is partially (though not totally) irrelevant. We have an elite system that protects and nutures top talent. Our advantage of England France is that we can call on these players whenever we want to, we can rest them, they are familiar with each other (less clubs) and we can keep them in Ireland because we pay massive salaries.
With the right coach, we would have won the grand slam last year. Drico says in his book that the attitude wasn't right for France and we totally choked the WElsh game.
