Re: Ulster 2015/16
If the Ulster front five can dig in and Chris Henry joins them soon after h-t, that backline can grab the points. Cave, McCloskey, Gilroy and Trimble have enough class and gas to put tries on that Munster team

Ulster backline looks potent, but the pack got bossed by a league-average Munster pack (minus their big hitters). I'm a huge Lewis Stephenson fan, Herring was good and Williams played his heart out, but the rest were average to poor.
For Munster, Cronin looked in top form and Stander basically won the game for them. Chisholm was OK-ish, as was Sherry. Others poor.
Keatley and Hurley is a puke-inducing 10-12 axis though. Sorry, but it's a vortex into which good attacking opportunities are sucked and reduce to a size the Higgs Boson would point at and laugh. Keatley has individual moments, but he was a very poor second behind Jackson in the battle of the 10s.

Touhy' s form is gash, really don't know what has happened to him, Stevenson always gives his best but gives away some really stupid penalties, as for Browne he is the best ruck inspector since Franno retired.simonokeeffe wrote:Dan Tuohy seems to have gone to the dogs speaking of locksjezzer wrote:Ulster backline looks potent, but the pack got bossed by a league-average Munster pack (minus their big hitters). speaker of Ulster hookers Niall Annett is thriving over in England, no point in him coming home unless he wants to go to Connacht and no point going home home until Herring or Best retire

Once Best goes, which will be soon enough Ulster will need someone unless John Andrew really steps up.simonokeeffe wrote:

Ulster didn't fancy Annett when he was there. Rumoured that Clarke had blackballed him from way back at an U 20 tournament. Few agreed with his assessment and players said he was a good player and leader

Re: Ulster 2015/16
he was behind 2 good players in Best and Herring so he was always going to struggle to get gamesRuckedtobits wrote:Ulster didn't fancy Annett when he was there. Yip that was the problem, he only got a chance from the bench when Best was on Ireland duty and the lad just wanted to play rugbysimonokeeffe wrote:he was behind 2 good players in Best and Herring so he was always going to struggle to get gamesRuckedtobits wrote:Ulster didn't fancy Annett when he was there. Re: Ulster 2015/16
who is this Mulholland character?
Ulster should still have enough in that team (herring, FVDM, Henry, Jackson, McCloskey) to win
