PO'C to take up advisory role in the academy.
I think it's a great piece of business. The whole jobs for the boys things has worked well for Munster the last few years. Why stop now? :happy clapper:

Munster board would love to have him/a liging/not just have Fla as token local if Foley walks (under pressure)
He might be a better fit than Foley as line-out coach

well if Foley goes they can ease him in as set piece forwards (assistant) or something like that, Erasmus would presumably cover a lot of the forwards normally

Has O'Connell ever done any coaching, has he done his qualifications?

Or is he actually taking up a role designed to attract external investment into the academy.

The online blogger types are all reporting Betts wasnt even offered a Munster Academy place

Theyve 2 THs in year 3 (with a whopping 2 B & I starts between them) but still only 2 in senior squad and dont look to be allowed any NIQ props any time soon

Yet another forriner joining our development province. No doubt he'll buy into the jersey and be a ligind.

His doc might be the deciding factor rather than his lawyer. PS. Why are you bragging about your phone?

He does but there were rumours he'd have to retire.

I've heard of two players who've been told to retire but are refusing to btw.

I knew that. Can you not edit the message on it? Never used it myself.

By provinces to save money or ignoring medical advice or what?

And does McCarthy figure anywhere in it?

Saw a highlight reel. Pretty underwhelming reminds me of Roux

Another project player? Probably their best chance of increasing national representation.
Ruddock's tackle stats consistently too low for me to be taken seriously as a Six Nations blindside..... Ruddock's defensive stats don't stack up. - All Blacks Nil, Jan 15th, 2014

He seems to do more in the loose than Roux, and he's got more Super Rugby appearances than Roux had. I wonder how he compares as a pusher in the scrum?

All in all, I think this looks like a shrewd signing
