Honesty? Did Garrett not just say- "Rassie succeeded in getting us back on track with much of the same personnel"wixfjord wrote:Jaysus I'm not sure Mike would fit into the 'pride, pashun and honesty' rhetoric very well!Peg Leg wrote:Dallas Rugby would likely be happy to cover Mike Ford's flights come December

Not so sure it's good for Leinster. The better they are, the better we need to be to stay ahead. That's good for us in Europe.wixfjord wrote:This is good news for Leinster rugby, and really, really bad news for Munster and Irish rugby if we're honest.

I think this is a shame really. For me I've always been an Irish rugby fan first and foremost and when Munster (and all the other provinces) have been strong Ireland has been strong also. Can't see this doing anything other than weakening one of the provinces.

I'm calling it now that Paul O'Connell will be involved in the new senior team coaching ticket.

29 year old Felix Jones is somehow favourite with the bookies for the head coach job at Munster! Good lord!!
He'll be 30 by December though.

Two important things to remember from that...
1) I was full sure that he was with Fintan Drury and in my head that acted as confirmation.
2) It made Paddy Power 20e better off.

In general remember bookies respond to the bets being placed not just their own forecasts. If its not a Plumtree or Umaga ot would be startling. And a disaster. Erasmus has made the job attractive again along with single base

Re: Munster 2016-2017
Plumtree went back home for family reasons we are told, Umaga is supposedly out of contract at the end of the Super 15 season so anything is possible. When the "geniuses" that run Munster rugby and the IRFU get together who knows what they will come up with.

They did alright the last time. Erasmus was a major coup. The quality of coaches taking up positions in the Pro 12 over the last year or so is very encouraging for the league.RAILWAY1 wrote:Plumtree went back home for family reasons we are told, Umaga is supposedly out of contract at the end of the Super 15 season so anything is possible. Munster is still a big deal.
And a camel is an evolutionary marvel.

Re: Munster 2016-2017
They got it right on Rassie but got it badly wrong on other occassions. Whoever they choose needs to be experienced and if we are to remain at the top table he must be a top coach. Another Rassie Erasmus without the escape clause would be nice
Re: Munster 2016-2017
Penney was good too. Would be a good choice now if it wasn't for the history.RAILWAY1 wrote:They got it right on Rassie but got it badly wrong on other occassions. Felix Jones is just a stalking horse.
POC would get the job if the Munstar hurray henry's got their way and it'd be a disaster.
Nucifora will block it.
