Wayne Smith would be a superb fit for Munster and .......look at the timing.

Not a bad suggestion - make sure you email it to Nucifora and cc the Cork/Limerick mafia.Ruckedtobits wrote:Wayne Smith would be a superb fit for Munster and .......look at the timing.

Re: Munster 2016-2017
Paul O'Connell would not be a good choice at the moment by any stretch of the imagination for the head job as he needs to work his way up and gain coaching experience at the level required. What is needed is an experienced coach who can stamp his authority on the squad hopefully keep the momentum started by Anthony Foley and continued by Rassie Erasmus going .The likes of Flannery , Felix and POC should learn their craft before thinking of being head coach

Re: Munster 2016-2017
There's a good chance that the new coach will be someone most of us have never heard of. I don't think I knew who Schmidt, Penney or Anscombe were before they came to the provinces. Matt O'Connor was just a name to me. I didn't know anything about him.
So it seems Antipodean assistants at other clubs and NZ U20s coaches might be a good bet

Re: Munster 2016-2017
A decent bit of experience combined with the ambition to make a name for himself would be the ideal mix, but then I still believe in Santa Clause

Turnips now have more Saffers than we have
Re: Munster 2016-2017
Youse get on with them cause they are Ken Dodds. Munster get on with them because they are farmers.
isn't it great that everyone gets along these days.

A braver call would be the opposite of the above.COYBIB wrote:I'm calling it now that Paul O'Connell will be involved in the new senior team coaching ticket.

Especially in desert areas.blockhead wrote:They did alright the last time. Erasmus was a major coup. The quality of coaches taking up positions in the Pro 12 over the last year or so is very encouraging for the league.RAILWAY1 wrote:Plumtree went back home for family reasons we are told, Umaga is supposedly out of contract at the end of the Super 15 season so anything is possible. When the "geniuses" that run Munster rugby and the IRFU get together who knows what they will come up with.
Don't forget a camel is a horse designed by a committee
Munster is still a big deal.
And a camel is an evolutionary marvel.
