Can't help think this suits us more than Ulster.

Glasgow will have more internationals back than Ulster
Which was my point.

Theyre in freefall now

Further recruitment for next season is going to be a nightmare too

This looks so bad for them. This is disastourous for them and Irish Rugby.

Reckon EOS would be a great fit for Ulster in a crisis situation.
Very structured and organised coach.
It will be difficult to get a top quality NZ coach at short notice.

Totally agree with you on that, Eddie as head coach but with the provision he brings in young academy players and not be results driven like he was with Ireland which lead to a very conservative selection policy and game structure at times. I think he would do well without that sort of pressure he had forced on him in his time with Ireland

Losing Ulster's dressing room is not a bad thing, seeing as they do f%~k all when they leave it.

The squad needs a clearout - theres only 5 or 6 guys really worth keeping. The problem Ulster have is that the Pro team is only the tip of a sinking iceberg and there aren't enough players coming through to replace the hucksters in the first team

The squad is definitely an issue

A coach 10 years behind the game wont help though

Correct Dave, Eddie is a very astute analyst of the game still, no messing guy who concentrates on the basics and builds around that, he has really been pretty critical of the way Ulster have performed recently and I reckon he would be a steady ship to get things back on track.

I wouldn't be a fan of Mallinder as we don't have the raw materials for him to work with

Usually I'd think less of someone for jumping ship but really don't blame him and wouldn't blame anyone else for leaving either.

i wouldn't question Fez's love for Ulster, but what Ulster need is an experienced disciplinarian - not sure Fez is the right guy. We all had a good chortle when Munster gave Mick Galway some kind of Dr Goodvibes role down south - would this be any different?

Mallinder might fancy a pension instead but would be a better shout IMO; Eddie hasnt had a vaguely succesful season in 10 or 12 years
