Glas 17-0 Edin.
Cockers has worked hard-on Edinburgh's discipline and their defence is lot, em, stiffer.
Seriously though, they are a much improved team.
Pulling hard in the right direction, and one-eye always on the try line.

Cardiff have been dominant everywhere except in the scrum - and only lead by four

James Davies just took a crucial turnover on his own line with his arse facing the sideline after entering from the side. Unbelievably weak referring from Clancy.
Re: Pro 14 - General Thread
Mr Clancy missed a few things for sure

Useless referee. Scarlets lucky to win that one, in fairness they defended well at the end but the Blues looked better than I've seen them in a good long time.wixfjord wrote:James Davies just took a crucial turnover on his own line with his arse facing the sideline after entering from the side. Its amazing how often the teams that win stuff get lucky. The win was never in doubt once Cardiff didn't convert their first half dominance to points

Cheetahs have Treviso away and then back to back v Kings. Could be ahead of Munster with 8 rounds left. Munster still to go to SA.

Re: Pro 14 - General Thread
Scarlets have us home and away, Ulster home, Munster and Embra away and Glasgow at home yet to play.
A little tougher than our run in.
If we can get the better of them in the 6n break weekends (say 6 4 or even 5 4 over the 2 games) then we have a good chance of topping the log.

Reckon Munster have already gone full SA. That will be like a home game for themblockhead wrote:Cheetahs have Treviso away and then back to back v Kings. Could be ahead of Munster with 8 rounds left. Munster still to go to SA.

Re: Pro 14 - General Thread
Long way to go and all that, but. It's very possible that Cheetahs could finish 2nd in Con A. That would mean either us, ulster or scarlets heading down there for a playoff, which would be very difficult. Would be nice to avoid another trip down there this season.

Re: Pro 14 - General Thread
A trip to SA for a quarter-final would be a nightmare for us, even with a strong squad. Having said that, I think Munster will do enough to finish second. Then you would think either Leinster or Scarlets (as conference runners-up) will have the Cheehtahs at home in a quarter-final, a considerably easier prospect!blockhead wrote:Long way to go and all that, but. Former Connacht player Rory Parata signed by Zebre. It's a smart singing. Gaffney is going gangbusters over there and Parata is a talent if a little injury prone. Think he will be a good signing for Zebre.

Scotland prop Zander Fagerson will miss the bulk of the NatWest 6 Nations after suffering a foot injury.
Glasgow, who will play Leinster in the Champions Cup on 14 January, revealed the 21-year-old would be out for up to eight weeks after an accident in training.
Scotland face Wales, France and England in February and Fagerson could also struggle to be fully fit in time to face Ireland at the Aviva Stadium on 10 March.
Fagerson already has 15 caps and was an ever-present for his country throughout 2017.
Warriors suffered a triple blow with Callum Gibbins and Scott Cummings also facing lengthy spells on the sidelines.
Gibbins has undergone surgery after an Achilles problem halted the flanker's impressive start to his Scotstoun career. Warriors say the New Zealander faces up to 12 weeks out.
Second-row forward Cummings will be out for about eight weeks after suffering a hand injury in training this week.
3 forwards out is a big blow.

TH for Scotland are a pretty rare species at the minute.
Re: Pro 14 - General Thread
Disappointed from a 6N point of view. I thought Scotland had a shot at beating England at home for the first time in Donkeys. With the way the injury list is planning out, it's looking less likely. They were the best shot the tournament had of kicking the wheels off the chariot before the final weekend.

47-13 to Scarlets. Suprisingly though, no BP.
Only joking, of course they got a BP!
