Yeah the Dragons 7 is an 87kg 18 yo. Great name though.!

Last night'performances emphasised how lobsided the two Conferences are in the Pro14. Dragons, lost 10 games and S Kings with 11 defeats from 11 games have both scored less points than Conference A bottom team Ospreys. At the top end Scarlets and Leinster have won 11 and 10 games respectively in Conf B whilst Glasgow also have won 11 but Munster have only won 7 games and are still second in Conference A. They could be passed if Cheetahs, currently with 6 wins, win both games in hand with bps.

So Conference A is considerably more competitive and today's fixture in the RDS may well confirm how weak is the competition, outside the top two, in Conference B.

Even at this point, the Pro14 Board should be telling SARFU to accept the advances from the Sharks and include them in the Pro14 instead of the Kings. Now that WOULD make an impact on the Broadcasters next round of negotiations.

Most likely the 4th placed side from conference B will have the home advantage in the Euro playoff at season’s end.

The conferences will be rejigged next year based on this season’s results. If it stopped now:

Conf A: Ire 1 & 4 (Lei, Con), Wal 2 & 3 (Car, Osp), Ita 2 (Zeb), Sco 1 (Gla) and SA 2 (SK)

Conf B: Ire 2 & 3 (Uls, Mun), Wal 1 & 4 (Sca, Dra), Ita 1 (Ben), Sco 2 (Edi) and SA 1 (Che)

Cant agree with you there at all.
Con B has 4 teams competing for 3 spots.
Munster lost 5 games, but 3 of them to Con B teams.
Kings are beyond useless.

Con B has a 2 horse race for top spot and one for the final auto Euro spot. Kings have been very poor.

Con A is interesting. Ospreys playing well below par. Connacht and Cardiff scrapping for the final auto Euro spot and possible playoff spot. Cheetahs have been big surprise, could challenge Munster for 2nd. Glasgow out of sight.

Don't Sky Sports provide great coverage of a Pro14 game? But man, don't we provide them with some spectacle to cover?

To be fair to the S Kings. There isn't one player with them now who was with them in last years super rugby. They had shut their doors and were winding up when they got the nod this was happening. They are essentially an ail standard team. You would hope they will have a big shopping budget come may when the deals are done for the lads out of contract after this year's super rugby. The cheetahs were different. They had kept guys on contact as they knew they had the curry Cup coming in sep/Oct.

Which probably means that Sky's bid was derisory.

Not necessarily - Eir are really targetting rugby as the money involved has them locked out of soccer

Presumably no NH rugby on sky then? Since we can't get Eir Sports here in England I guess we are fooked regarding pro14. Did they get all the games or will there still be regional tv showing Scots and Welsh games? Any speculation gratefully received!
