South Africans adopting a draft system to help Kings and Cheetahs. You can imagine that Nucifora will be following this closely.

5 years ago it was just over 8,000. Slow but steady progress year on year.

Not a chance do I believe Edinburgh attendances were bigger than Glasgow's. (except for the 2 derby games at Murrayfield)
Also every Glasgow home game was a sell out. Capacity (aka lack thereof) is a massive problem.
Re: Pro 14 - General Thread
Didn't know that Ulster get a higher attendance than Munster and with all their matches broadcast live on BBC TV.
I wonder will the Ospreys and Cardiff figures be affected by the relegation and promotion of their respective football teams. It must be hellish trying to run the Italian teams on such numbers

Munster attendace average is dragged down as ususal by games at Independent Park. TP average would be much higher.enby wrote:Didn't know that Ulster get a higher attendance than Munster and with all their matches broadcast live on BBC TV.

Rise or fall in attendances from last season for clubs reflect the performances on the pitch in most cases.
Except for Glasgow.

What I meant was including the 2 derbies artificially inflates the numbers for average Edinburgh attendances. And without a new stadium Glasgow's physically can't get any bigger.
Oh to have an average of nearly 17k.

Artificial? Total season attendance divided by the number of games played.kermischocolate wrote:Wasn't having a go.blockhead wrote: Where do the numbers come from? Pro14 and EPRC sites

Plenty of big Stadia in Glasgow you could consider using for big occasions.
I'd say the Ulster fans would love to play you in Ibrox for example.

Re: Pro 14 - General Thread
In our case a median would be a better guide than a mean.blockhead wrote:Artificial? Total season attendance divided by the number of games played.kermischocolate wrote:Wasn't having a go.blockhead wrote: Where do the numbers come from? Pro14 and EPRC sites

Re: Pro 14 - General Thread
A median answers a different question.
I think mean is right in this instance, if the knockouts are excluded. Playing 4 knockout games in Dublin is an outlier.

Re: Pro 14 - General Thread
Further confirmation of Edinburgh setting up a small ground next to Murrayfield. Think this is a good move for them.

Re: Pro 14 - General Thread
Good call by Edinburgh. Excellent transport links to Murrayfield etc. 3G pitch planned. One being put down at Musgrave Park also.
Re: Pro 14 - General Thread
A good move except for the capacity. 7,800 is a bit small and shows a lack of ambition unless it is designed to be easily expanded.jimbobjoe wrote:Further confirmation of Edinburgh setting up a small ground next to Murrayfield. Think this is a good move for them.

Re: Pro 14 - General Thread
I imagine it will be expandable as there's a good chunk of space where the new pitch/stands are going. I reckon the 7,800 capacity is based on a target attendance in the short-medium term.Fireworks wrote:A good move except for the capacity. 7,800 is a bit small and shows a lack of ambition unless it is designed to be easily expanded.jimbobjoe wrote:Further confirmation of Edinburgh setting up a small ground next to Murrayfield. 7,800 every game and Murrayfield for the Glasgow derbies would be a huge step forward for Edinburgh.
