So basically, we get to play Ospreys, Glasgow, Cardiff, Zebre and the Cheetahs home OR away.

Can we have Ospreys and Glasgow at home please?

What one is it? To save those of us who haven't been following every thread over the summer clicking through them all.
Does the creation of the Pro14 not - perhaps - merit a thread on itself?

Edit: I see it is in a different part of the forum that I never normally visit. I go straight to Leinster Addicts normally. Is General for recovering addicts or is it a gateway drug?

I reckon teams like us that have sold season tickets will get 11 home games. That means the Italians and the Saffers will get 10. Still need another 3 teams to get 10 also.

Every aspect of this seems to be a contrived construct (down to scheduling) but they have to try something I guess. Let's hope it works.
We would certainly seem to have gotten the more favourable conference on the face of it.

Can't they even it out with the interpros, no? As in, because we play Munster / Connacht home & away, while Glasgow only play Edinburgh home & away, then ...

Hold on, how does that work?

I doubt the saffers have. And there was news a few weeks ago about the Italians not selling any. Or maybe that was just zebre given the uncertainty over parma or rome

Any fixtures released along with this announcement or is that too much to ask of a body or bodies charged with the running a professional sports league.

Leinster confirmed for 10 home matches only.

Free additional ticket for one home match of STH's choice.

Pretty useless to me as I have two season tickets; due to his health my dad won't be joining me.

Sorry to hear about your dad

That free ticket for STH will be subject to demand, might be a squeeze on interpros

PR reporting Rhule leaving Cheetahs for Stormers, Mahoje and Petersen leaving too. We can expect all boks or close to boks to leave

Plus the free ticket is in an unreserved seat - so highly unlikely to be beside you if you are a Grandstand or Anglesea Stand ST holder. A cynical offer that they are betting ST holders wont take up.

Very very shoddy and poor form from LR.

Cardiff have released FVDM without him playing a game citing financial concerns

Rumour has it Connacht are talking to Ray Lee-Lo, presumably due to same financial concerns.

Unreserved Free Ticket wont really work for GS/AS tickets, understandably be impossible to sit people next to each other.

Will the offer cover the Aviva matches as should be no issue adding extra ticket beside you there?

That was always going to be an issue as the players needed to have a future. Anyone out of contract at the end of this SR season were almost certainly going to move on if they could as there was no guarantee that either SA team had a competition to go to. So negotiations and contracts would have been worked through in May/June in a lot of cases. Kings flagged it recently here.

would be a damn good signing for them

all this partly explains why Halfpenny wont go back there

but how stuck are Cradiff for money then? even with extra 500k? trying to dress this up as focusing on indigenous talent etc

@Molloy yeah we are going to see a serious exodus from both
