John Barclay leaving the Scarlets to join Edinburgh for next season. The rumour mill has Ross Moriarty heading to Llanelli for next year. An alternative rumour has him joining the Dragons.

Tim Swinson likely to miss Warriors' forthcoming Pro14 games against Ospreys and Cardiff Blues, plus a European Champions Cup double-header against Montpellier. Matt Fagerson faces two more months out with a knee injury.

No confirmation that it is Racing but the Glasgow forum are seeing it as a done deal that he is the replacement for Dan Carter
Hard to feel sorry for any Scottish related rugby problem at the moment but this is a huge blow to Glasgow on a par with us losing Sexton

In fairness to Finn, the SRFU set the precedent. Always go with the highest bid (even if its French).

Hardly a surprise, it's been on the cards for Finn to go for a while. And probably suits Scottish Rugby more. Time to develop someone to give him some competition.

There's looking for a silver lining and then there is delusion. He will be beaten to death in the Top 14 and you will end up playing that fat lad at 10 again. Having said that you need to develop a 10 because Russell isn't the answer.

It's being realistic. Glasgow simply can't compete with the money of French clubs. I'd have liked to see Finn stay and have a full year with Rennie as head coach but it's not to be. Yes he will be flogged in Top14 but such is life.

Glasgow have other options as it stands at 10 and we don't know if anyone new is coming in. There are other players that will inevitably be a bigger loss to Glasgow in the coming seasons.

Will it probably just be Jackson though?

Ruddock's tackle stats consistently too low for me to be taken seriously as a Six Nations blindside..... Ruddock's defensive stats don't stack up. - All Blacks Nil, Jan 15th, 2014
England A 8 - 14 Ireland A, 25th Jan 2014

Not likely. Iirc he's not played 10 since he came back.
Current pecking order is Finn, Horne and Adam Hastings.

Cheers Kerm

Not sure if its change in Welsh selection rules or players realising they can phone it in for the regions and enjoy longer careers/prioritise playing for Wales

Glasgow are running away with their conference, Ospreys have fallen off a cliff.
Q. How come Sarto was not away with Italy?

No one seems to know.
He was for the first 2 AIs. Some sort of gentleman's agreement to release him as we were so short of players maybe? Along with Masaga who I'm gonna hold my hands up and say had no idea was Italian!

Jackson played in Murrayfield on Saturday (only about 10mins, but still!). Turner and Lee Jones apparently were also there as cover.

Very inexperienced squad went to Wales: http://www.glasgowwarriors.org/news/17/ ... ce-ospreys

Would have been very handy for us if Kings had of closed that one out. Still with the expanded knock out mix it's very hard not to see at least us, Munster and Ulster making it through. Connacht also have a decent chance if they can start getting a few more wins under their belt, still early days for new management.
