Challenge Cup: Artemyev-led Krasny beat Stade

Post by williamstowndude »

Long time lurker, first time poster. I thought Krasny Yar's win over Stade was one of the results of the weekend, as well as the history of European competition. Interesting to see also that ex-Academy wing and Rock legend the Moscow Express aka Vasily Artemyev captained the side! As such, I thought it really merited some media coverage in Ireland but haven't seen any. Anyone spotted any?

It's a fantastic story -- really would've thought it merited some coverage.

Seems to have passed everyone by, but Cardiff have made it to the Challenge Cup final. Beat Pua 16-10 in front of 13k at home. They will be in Bilbao with us that weekend playing Gloucester on the friday night.
A Pro14 double would be very satisfying.
And would also be further indication that Welsh club rugby is and the up, at last.
You know I'm going to lose,

But that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live FOREVER!

Leinster in the Champions final, Caadiff in the challenge... JohnG is certainly getting value for money in Bilbao

If you gave me a sedan chair ride to the ground, beer and free tickets I still wouldn't bother watching Cardiff and Glou Chester

Okay, very loosely connected to this thread, but below is the clip of a try scored in the Enisei STM v Krasny Yar game last week. The lad is a member of the FRU. He may not be after this!
