Definite red for me. Having argued against the Kaino one, that's a perfect example of the incidents that I think are wrong. His arm made a token effort to wrap and he clearly led with the shoulder.

Cirpriani apologising as he went off says a lot.

Yes, he is. Contact with the head, regardless of circumstance, is a red card

Contact with the head, regardless of circumstance, is now a red card.

The approach is now zero tolerance, one strike and you're out.

Now, you might think that approach is wrong - I know I do, but thats how referees are under strict instruction to apply the law

I think that approach is wrong, but not in that instance. Cipriani very clearly led with his shoulder...there was nothing else for Scannell to hit.

Not seeing any mitigating reasons for Twelvetrees not being carded. Joey was turning and was going down slightly but the tackle was ALWAYS swinging and high.

Is Mike Haley the first England International to score for an Irish province since Will Green in the Rec in 2006?

Archer goes high at the end.....many much dumb.
Ruddock's tackle stats consistently too low for me to be taken seriously as a Six Nations blindside..... Ruddock's defensive stats don't stack up. - All Blacks Nil, Jan 15th, 2014
England A 8 - 14 Ireland A, 25th Jan 2014

Not exactly the right thread but on the subject of foul play...an incident in the Bath game just made a mockery of this outcome based decision making. Absolute nonsense.

I'm out at the moment, do tell what the incident was.

Edit
I'll be shocked if 12trees doesn't join Cipriani getting a mid season holiday after this match.

Sorry, I was trying to be sound in case anyone was recording it but suppose it doesn't matter.

Louw picked up a Wasps player side on around the waist as the Wasps guy went past him and flipped him up in the air. The Wasps player was totally upside down and heading head first to the ground but twisted his head/neck out of the way and landed on his shoulder so it was only a yellow. I don't actually think Louw meant it maliciously but it was incredibly dangerous.

I'm not even joking when I say this...but if Marshall and Scannell are out for a long time...any chance they'd sign Dane Coles on a short term deal? He's in desperate need of games and I was thinking that he could do with a deal like that. Can't see them being allowed to sign a potential World Cup rival but you never know.

Tommy O’Donnell suspected broken leg. That lad has had the worst luck, serious injury after serious injury.

With the current guidelines on the tackle especially in the head/ neck area referees will nearly always err on the side of caution and issue a red card instead of yellow if there is any doubt. They know that with all the talk about player welfare if they seem to be too lenient they may be downgraded whereas if they are overly strict this is less likely.

Was genuinely surprised when they offered him another contract. He's 30/31 and crocked nearly all the time. They should have said sent him off to France and free up a rehab table.

Hmmm, the continual slagging off of Munster seems to have quietened down since Sunday.
Plucky performance by Leinster btw, ye were unlucky not to win really.

Please don't get the PFKAM mixed up with the proud Munster of old.

Fixed.

#PMRM #JOAT.

:D

To be fair there was no luck involved. Toulouse were fully deserving of their win. Their coaches got the tactics right and the players implemented the plan, we were all out of ideas after their last try. A big learning opportunity, we'll take our LBP and Stucaster will figure out how make us better.

Good effort Deco but you're not back at your best yet (it just comes across a bit fake especially the good loser comments at the end).
