BT Sport will become the undisputed home of European rugby after winning rights to every European Rugby Champions Cup and the European Rugby Challenge Cup match broadcast in the UK and Ireland. The new deal, which starts at the beginning of the 2018/19 season, will see BT Sport become the broadcaster for all of the best European club rugby matches until at least the end of the 2021/22 campaign.

I think Sky have bought the rights to broadcast BT sport in Ireland at the expense of EIR
And I think it is happening sooner rather than later.

Uugh, I vaguely remember questioning whether I would keep Eir next year.
Here it is: https://www.the42.ie/sky-sports-bt-spor ... 1-Oct2018/
BT will be exclusively available on Sky sports. Which likely means Eir for P14 and Now TV pay per day for me next year (If Now TV gives Access to BT Sport)

Not certain but think I remember Murray Kinsella saying they're tied into BT for a few years after that Sky deal was announced.
Ruddock's tackle stats consistently too low for me to be taken seriously as a Six Nations blindside..... Ruddock's defensive stats don't stack up. - All Blacks Nil, Jan 15th, 2014
