Jamie Hagan played about 25 mins off the bench for the Rebels in their 85-26 loss to the Crusaders. I thought he put himself about quite well. Grant Nisbett kept calling him "Jamie Magan"

In their... in their what now?

That is a stupendiculous score even by Super Rugby standards.

Good to hear Magan did well though

Jamie Hagan (sporting a new haircut) came on on 64 mins as the Rebels, having led 7-24 at half-time, held on to beat the Reds 28-31 in Suncorp. The Rebels' scrum seemed to shore up after he took the field, and he held his own in the loose

Fionn Carr has signed for Naas in the AIL! It seems that he's given up on the pro-game which if true is a shame.

Cillian Willis taking a case against Sale. He was knocked out during a game but the medics allowed him play on, subsequently he had to retire due to concussions.

Maybe he didnt want to leave Ireland for whatever reason

From a rugby/medical pov thats alarming. From a legal pov itll be very interesting. Bloodgate amongst other things have shown medics to be as ruthless/pressurised as anyone

I'd say the Willis one will be settled out of court. No way any club wants to bring that to court and create a precedent.

As for Carr I checked on the Connacht fans site and apparently Carr is looking to go to the US league.

He was released by Pat Lam, he's still only 30 so surprised he hasn't been picked up by anyone. Prodigious talent when he was a kid and scored a lot of tries for Connacht but never really broke through. Hope whatever he does next works out for him!

NPC would be 1st port of call

very hard for foreign players to get into NZ super rugby sides, only 2 per team and theres oodles of Pacific Island (project) players to compete with

More likely path is they just get better and get contracts in NH

better off playing rugby down there and coming north, it will improve them no end.

It's something I think Leinster should do more of, sending players to NZ to play rugby and develop.

The Heartland Championship is the third tier of provincial competition in NZ.

Crosbie and Thornbury aren't tied to Ireland yet
