Ireland's response to CO2 emissions.

Ireland's response to CO2 emissions.
Is laughable.
There is one very quick and simple way to encourage people to improve their BER ratings and thus reduce their emissions.
Remove Vat on all insulation products.
IE encourage people towards a bit of diy instead of the policy of discouraging diy.
Unnecessary bureaucracy , how much of the taxpayers money is going to be wasted on this.
Lies, quite frankly the number of lies (not untruths), inaccurate and outrageous claims being made for renewable energy is disgraceful.
What do you think should be done?

So there's an emissions issue in Dublin.
If I'm not mistaken a contributary factor on NOx emissions is the speed ie the catalytic converter isn't as efficient at lower speeds.
In other words as speed limits are decreased NOx will increase.
Does anyone know if catalytic converters are less efficient at low speeds?

Well it runs better at higher temperatures which would be achieved at higher speeds.
Certainly driving in a higher gear is more eco-friendly. As part of the driving test in Sweden you have to show 'eco-driving' which is engine-braking and skipping gears where possible.
