As a side note, floods in India have killed at least 500 people. Hardly a mention.

That says as much about the Indian media and Government as anything else.
No it doesn't you plonker. It says that our media doesn't think that it will gain much traction with audience's here and so goes unmentioned.

Death is a very very personal thing and it has nothing to do with the media.
If someone close to you dies you don't need the media to tell you about it or how you should feel about it.
As an aside would you like to explain what you mean by the word plonker in the context of your post.
And on what basis did you come to the conclusion that our media doesn't think that the Indian floods would gain much traction with audiences here.
Like why would they be concerned about said traction one way or the other?
It's a bit early in the season for you to be falling off your horse.

@OS, in response to Bheads post, the comment related entirely to the media and it's lack of reporting of the indian deaths. Which as JohnG emphasised, is less likely to "reach" an irish audience as there are less likely to be irish relatives caught up in the tragedy there.
Explanation of plonker: deltorodneyesque term of familiarity with zero malice intended.

I noticed it for Challenge Cup last night. I don't know if it's for everything, as I didn't check and have uninstalled the app.

All the same info seems to be free on their website, or can be found on scrum.com or any number of other sites.

I asked them last week what the story was this was their reply

Ultimate Rugby wrote:Going forward you’ll have full access to Prem, Top 14, PRO14, Super Rugby, Champions Cup & all major international tests & tournaments bar match stats for the teams & players.

You’ll still have your match info, team lineups, events, commentary etc all for free.

As for smaller competitions like the Championship, Japanese Top League, PRO D2, NRC, Mitre 10 Cup, Currie Cup etc. They will be fully part of the subscription.

So to summarise, when the subscription is fully rolled out & launched you’ll still have access to 80% of the stuff you already did for free. Just stats features & smaller tournaments will be closed off unless you upgrade.

If you have any more questions or need any help with anything let me know

What do you use it for? I only use it for fixtures, scores/results, and to see which games are on TV. I must say it's usually great for all of that!

I used it for stats all the time because it was so handy - won't pay for it though as stats can be found elsewhere
