RIP John Hurt. Everyone in a John Hurt film was a supporting actor.

My foot is still killing me. Down with the quack now, he spends ages with his patients.

I'm almost willing to accept a diagnosis of gout - no more beers, vino or schtake just so I never have to sit in this waiting room again.

I presume you've done blood tests (including cholesterol ) and urine analysis.
The next thing surely is an MRI. A visit to a physio might not be a bad idea either. Even if it's just for a diagnosis.
Doctors are only as good as the information they get.
I go to the doctor once a year whether sick or not.
I bring a urine sample and get a full bloods test and blood pressure. My doctor always tells me to lose weight even when I have but we all need that kind of encouragement.
Nothing ever showed (except high cholesterol which is good now) up until last year.
Nothing serious, I just thought I was feeling my age.
I had an infection and raised blood pressure.
A course of antibiotics later and I was grand.
Infection cleared and bp back to normal.
If I hadn't gone for my annual check up....
So no matter what age you are, go to the doctor once a year and get yourself seen to. I've been doing it since I was about 40.
Bottom line I reckon I'll be ranting and raving for a while to come yet.
Make sure ye all do the same, I wouldn't want to get lonely.

Thx OS,

So initial diagnosis is gout - given my diet and "big and strongness" I'm not hugely surprised.

Bloods taken results back in a week.

Wonder will lack of shellfish, red meat and vino etc... temper my posting.

I'm a real fan of the medicinal properties of rosemary.
It's the first thing I search for medical complaints.
https://goutandyou.com/gout-and-rosemary/
Rosemary is an anti-inflamitory too.
Rosemary tea - dab it on to treat kid's zits, gargle for sore throats are two uses.
Drinking it also good - it's a tea after all.
You can also make an oil rub with it.
Get a bottle of olive oil and put a load of chopped up rosemary into it. Don't seal, because some fermentation tajes place, but cover the bottle top.
Unfortunately this process takes about 4/6 weeks.
You might be able to get something like it in a health shop.
BTW I've no medical training this is just personal experience.
(Not with gout mind, but I believe it can be extremely painful so commiserations)
Btw best to buy a couple of Rosemary bushes.

You need psychological help, you're fixated on what's bad for you (aren't we all).
Although, Lamb is the only meat as far as I know that is non allergenic. Maybe it's the two bottles of wine you take with it.
Anyway I'll leave you alone - you've enough to be putting up with.

Oh dear God is there anything more to life than shellfish, red meat, vino, iphones and Tapatalk?

Amputation would sort that f%~ker right out but probably brings a different set of problems.

Good luck with that.

On the flipside you've lovely voice and your bromance with OS is really sweet.

Ah shag off that's not what I meant. Everyone's worst pain is their worst pain. I've yet to have gout, I can't imagine the pain and I would likely be insufferable should I have it.

Oh and I was being genuine about the food choice. I've spent a month or two in hospital for my enjoying rich food.

Ah well - we stole it from Liverpool in the first place so I guess it's only fair

Word on the street is that Brady was invoking the memory of Sexton and O'Driscoll in the locker room at half time.
Heavy words are so lightly thrown
