The Recession Busting Thread
While I know the motto of every Leinster Supporter worth his or her salt is "Capital Aff", I thought a thread sharing tips and bargains would be no harm!!
My tip of the day is - for those of you who, like to go to the Leopardstown Races during the Christmas Festival tickets are €5 off when you book online http://www.leopardstown.com/Content/Leo ... px?id=7472
Also for the final day of the festival - the 29th Bewley's in Leopardstown are doing a rate of B&B and dinner - €100 (for two)!

All drinks 2 yoyo's in Dicey reillys on Harcourt Street on Wednesdays, 3 euro on Thursdays!
Re: The Recession Busting Thread
I like the way most of these offers are beer related. My recession busting recommendation is a 1 TB external hardrive for £60 on Amazon with free delivery. It can be used whilst not drinking beer. Just do a search for Seagate Expansions 1TB External Desktop USB 2.0 Hard Drive.
Its a by-pass. You've got to build by-passes.

Which beers? Dutch Gold? Looked at it today and the Heineken was €40 a slab. Most of the rest seemed the same.sarah_lennon wrote:Slabs of beer €26.99 in Dunnes

Nope, 33cl. But still a lot cheaper than you usually see it.Leezer wrote:ronk wrote:I got 24 Leffe Blond for €40 in Oddbins in Blackrock.

Quilmes is a good option. I'd generally drink them for different occasions.

On the other hand, I did get 20% off a bottle of 12 year old Jameson, so it wasn't a total loss!

Re: The Recession Busting Thread
For recession busting prices check out the dangerously low prices in Britain for alcohol. Morrisons are doing 4 bottles of Carlsberg.....for £1. Taking a bit of criticism from regulatory bodies but for the more responsible amongst us (not me, obviously) it's some deal.
