It's ok, not great but not shite either. For £8/9 it's probably worth downloading, but only just.

If you like the original UNKLE stuff you should have a listen to a remix album they did ages ago. It’s excellent and covers wide range of bands and lots of their own stuff.

My journey of discovery (via the "go to song radio" function on spotify) has revealed another diamond in- tindersticks.
Really immersive music. How did I miss so much of this stuff?

But it's hard to turn the opposite way tonight...

Or maybe you don't watch French films and they became Claire Denis's house band in the 00s. I was telling someone about their Ypres museum installation album a couple of years ago and they had the same reaction as you, "how did I not know their stuff". Enjoy. Well it's a bit more lugubrious than that...

It's not an album but it's a tradition in our house to blast this out on the first hot weekend of the year, my wife calls it the Tommy Bowe song for rugby relevance.

The album is good though, with a Tropicalia tune about Hermes Trismegistus! Jorge Ben has the honour of writing both Mad que nara and the original version of do ya think I'm sexy (he called it Taj Mahal with different lyrics).

The eponymous "Marlowe" is the first rap album I have listened to from start to finish on the first time of listening since I was an angst ridden teen.

I've been listening to "The Guess Who", newly discovered thanks to Todd Phillips Instagram post with Joaquin Phoenix's "The Joker" camera test.
