Fock. You hadn't a pick on you.

Is there a reciprocal agreement with far eastern countries that we will take each other's immigrants and fatten them up?

Perhaps you missed the description of the size of his Christmas pizza? It was briefly visible from the space station.

You're making me sad. That's why I'm home now - 3 weeks of belated Christmas food before heading back for a 28 inch (not centimeter) combination pizza. I'll send you a slice in the post.

Is that a euphemism?

That'll be me, although this is the only thread that has been split today by any mod.

Given a choice between horse burger and dog soup, I know which one I'd go for.

Which one would you go for, as a matter of interest? My Little Pony I presume?

I must admit I've never eaten horse, though I'm told it's excellent and I'm fond of venison so... but the only person I know who ate dog said it was not good. Not at all.

Whether that was bias due to what it is I don't know. I refuse to eat octopus if we're entering the realm of "what meat is particularly unethical to eat due to the animal in question being intelligent/friendly/cuddly".

I find the live octopus eating particularly galling. I'm not sure about Ireland, but this dish would be common over here. A big boiling pot is on your table, and the live octopus chucked in. You hear these awful noises and as the thing is trying to climb out, the chef/waiter comes along with a big knife and hacks away at the tentacles. I'd find it a little bit hard to enjoy my meal looking at that.

I've never eaten dog either, but the lads over here, who have tried it, say its pretty good.

You should get yourself to the Mekong Delta in Vietnam if you wanna see what a menu looks like. It looks like a cast list of Animal Farm

Dog was fine - like bitter tasting beef. Would certainly prefer steak, but it was cheap. Octopus is tricky if it is still moving after being chopped up and you have chopsticks - thankfully it is covered in oil so it doesn't stick to your mouth but that doesn't help picking it up off the plate
...a beautiful weighted pass...it is 3 on 2...it is 3 on 1...Hickie!...Magnificent!

Thankfully, we don't have to make the choice, nor eat either (sometimes).
