Can anyone recommend a good Running watch (preferably with GPS and HRM)?
Not really looking to spend more than €180. Already had a Polar FT7 HRM but 2 of them have broken on me since January.
Been looking at various ones on the net... but a lot get mixed reviews.

Re: Running Watches
Garmin are the front runners in combining GpS & HRM capabilities I'd say, maybe it's preference!
I have a forerunner 410 which has kept me going for over 1500 miles and numerous races so far with no issues at all.
General consensus is that the 410 is their best 'mid range' unit. It had a hrm & GPS capabilities and allows you to upload your runs to their Garmin Connect website which is a really good tool to keep track of your runs.
The 410 also allows you to pre programme various sessions on the website and download them to the watch. It has a touch sensitive bezel high I found a bit fiddly at the start but I got used to it. You can lock the bezel so it doesn't change mid run.
You can train by pace, distance, intervals, or it will track your pace against a preset time, telling you to speed up or slow down.
Garmin have a 110 or 210 as well, both are decent but don't have all the features the 410 has. The 310 I found quite bulky & the 610 is outside your budget I think.
I bought my 410 on Amazon for about £125, special offer; I would say you will find one for your budget somewhere.

Garmin are your only man alright. I have the 205 thanks to a generous sister.
They're pricey as f**k though. Check Ebay for second hand ones.

I find I always get better times alright when I only time the second half of my runs!!!!!Donny B. wrote:Garmin are your only man alright. I have the 205 thanks to a generous sister.

Your runs generally only last about 30 seconds a season anyway!

Re: Running Watches
Have the Garmin 205. It is excellent GPS and Garmin connect is decent site for storing your runs. I quite like exporting previous runs to my watch to compete against myself. Anyone import their data into something other than Garmin connect?
When I was looking the main advice I got from people was to avoid the Nike Sports watch.
