I hadn't heard of his health problems until the other week when a journalist mentioned he was shocked at how frail he looked after his transplant. I met his wife a few years ago and she was a surprisingly chirpy and upbeat person, I simply couldn't imagine them as partners! I hope he spent his last years with some of her spirit.
