Appeared to be accidental? WTF? That copper sounds like he was itching to get the two year old down the station for a grilling. Next you know he'd be confessing to all their unsolved violent crime.

There was a politician calling for women on college campuses to carry guns shortly after this to protect against rape.

http://www.rte.ie/news/2015/0515/701320-lollipop-man/

A lollipop man in England has been sacked for stopping a fire engine on its way to a 999 call.

Firefighters were forced to physically remove the man as he continued to help children cross outside William Austin Junior School in Luton last month.

Luton Borough Council said the school crossing patrol officer had been dismissed for gross misconduct.

It had initially suspended the man pending an investigation.

The fire engine was on its way to a fire on St Ethelbert Avenue, at around 3.30pm on 13 April.

Witness Jacqui Brittain told the BBC that the man was helping a group of children cross the road when the fire engine approached with its lights on.

Ms Brittain, a former lollipop woman, said that he then came into the middle of the road and started a second crossing.

"Four or five firemen got out of the vehicle and escorted him off the road," she said. "It was like watching a car crash. I am sorry he lost his job. It is a shame, but based on the incident that day it was justified."

A council spokeswoman said: "Luton Borough Council has now concluded its inquiries into reports that a school crossing patrol officer held up a fire engine on an emergency call on April 13.

"After following our due process, the employee concerned has been summarily dismissed on the grounds of gross misconduct."

What was he thinking? Wait what maybe all of 10 seconds and then let kids cross.

Man sends pictures of his genitals to HR manager before starting a new job
He sent one picture to the HR manager of his new employers, and after not recieving a response, decided to send another
By Helena Horton

We've all sent texts and online messages by mistake, and maybe embarrassed ourselves at work a few times, but this 23-year-old from Illinois will make all of your mishaps pale in comparison to his cock-up.

After just being accepted for a new job, the unfortunate man accidentally sent a picture of his unmentionables to the HR manager, thinking that she was someone else.

The HR manager decided not to respond, which irked the young romantic, who sent another for good measure.

After she didn't reply to the second picture, he decided to ring to make sure they were going through - alerting the HR manager to who he was, and she went straight to the police.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the police report states that the snap-happy man thought the HR manager was a friend.

The recipient of the images decided not to press charges, and the man has been advised to avoid contact with her in future

Childcare workers who ran toddler 'Fight Club' face up to five years in jail
David Kearns (INDO)

Two childcare workers were accused of a running a toddler ‘fight club’ after they filmed fights between children as young as four and posted the videos online.

Prosecutors in the United States has charged two former employees at a daycare centre in New Jersey with fourth-degree child abuse after they allegedly instigated fights between children.

Erica Kenny (22) and Chanese White (28) are said to have encouraged the children to get aggressive and attack one another.

Ms Kenny also faces charges for third-degree endangerment of a child, and is accused of filming the fights and sharing them on Snapchat.

In the video clips, the 22-year-old can be heard referencing the activity as 'Fight Club,' quoting from the book and the movie.

According to a release from the Union County Prosecutor's Office, the two women “instigated fights among children ages 4-6 ... on at least one day in Mid-August".

Approximately a dozen boys and girls at the daycare center can be seen in the video clips shoving each other to the ground and attempting to strike each other.

Ms White faces up to 18 months in prison, while Ms Kenny faces five years. Both are due to appear in court on Friday.

“We don’t believe there were any serious injuries at this point, but we are still investigating the case,” said Acting Union County Prosecutor Grace Park

Man rushed to hospital after he 'suffered rat bite' while sitting on toilet - councillor

19/04/2016 | 17:13

A Cork man was rushed to hospital after a rat bit him on the backside while he sat on the toilet.

Now a councillor is now warning others to be careful of rodents - especially at flood times.

The Evening Echo is reporting that Councillor Noel Collins reported the incident to Cork County Council during a Southern Area Meeting.

He had earlier asked them to investigate the possibility of flushing rat poison through the sewer system.

“The flooding resulted in another problem for residents, that of rat infestation, which really upset many families, mentally and physically, and indeed, one elderly gentleman suffered a rat bite to his posterior while using his toilet, and had to receive immediate medical attention,” he said.

He said a plumber found a broken sewer pipe nearby, which is believed to have allowed the rat to enter the system.

At the meeting the council warned that flushing poison through the water system could lead to contamination of other sources.

It was explained that Irish Water are responsible for vermin control within the system.

Cllr Collins added: “I would advise homeowners to keep their toilet seats down when not in use, and to watch their posteriors.”

Trevor Hayden, a pest controller who also works with CRRU, told The Last Word with Matt Cooper on TodayFm: "When they do get into the bowl they can't actually get out. They can't get purchase because it is so slippy and slidy in there that they are stuck in there."

He explained that one of his workers actually found a rat in a toilet bowl on one occasion.

"There's a lot of rats down the drains and with flooding it doesn't help. If you put a camera down there you will see plenty of them."

Mr Hayden said he had heard of two previous cases identical to the one mentioned in Cork County Council.

Chinese man 'marries' robot he built himself

Zheng Jiajia had grown tired of pressure to get married so he turned to Yingying, a robot spouse he constructed last year

A Chinese artificial intelligence engineer has given up on the search for love and “married” a robot he built himself.

Zheng Jiajia, 31, decided to commit after failing to find a human spouse, his friend told Qianjiang Evening News.

Zheng had also become tired of the constant nagging from his family and pressure to get married, so he turned to a robot he built late last year and named Yingying.

After two months of “dating”, he donned a black suit to “marry” her at a ceremony attended by his mother and friends at the weekend in the eastern city of Hangzhou.

While not officially recognised by the authorities, the union had all the trappings of a typical Chinese wedding, with Yingying’s head covered with a red cloth in accordance with local tradition.

China has one of the worst gender gaps in the world, mainly due to sex-selective abortions after the introduction of the country’s widely criticised one-child policy, which for decades controlled how many children each family could have.

There are 113.5 men for every 100 women in China, according to the latest figures published by the World Economic Forum. The gender imbalance, coupled with changing attitudes towards marriage among the country’s middle class, means many men will never find wives.

For now Yingying can only read some Chinese characters and images and speak a few simple words, but Zheng plans to upgrade his “bride” to be able to walk and do household chores. Until then he has to carry the 30kg robot to move her.

Reaction in China to the union has been mixed, with some social media users mocking Zheng and others wondering if it is all a publicity stunt.

“You won’t have her mother looking down on you, you don’t have the pressure to buy a home and you get to save money and energy,” one user wrote on WeChat, a popular social network.

“He’ll slowly get old, his face will become wrinkled and his hair will grow white – but will he upgrade her to grow old, or just to be prettier?” another user asked.

Stories of robots replacing humans is commonplace in China, most notably in a smattering of restaurants where the waiters are automated. However, the machines rarely live up to expectations.

Zheng previously worked at Huawei, the Chinese smartphone company, before quitting to focus on an artificial intelligence startup.

Could be the begining of a wonderful new future for mankind.
