Q about the site and the No of Posters online at anyone time

I like to set up the odd Poll every now and again on various interesting and stimulating subjects

. .a question for the floor. . .

After i set it up (and vote myself) I go and have a look to see if anyones voted. .. for the last one when I looked there were 10 people online (according to the front page of the site). .. but 14 people showed (pretty much straight away) as having viewed the Post/Poll. . how can that be

have some visited it twice - including yourself?
clicking refresh adds another view to the list as well

After you vote, the link in the middle of the next page brings up the topic or if you don't click anything the page automatically changes to the topic after a few seconds , both of which would result in another view being registered

I thought that the king of polls would have known all of this already
