LC,
Might I suggest that links in post be set to open in new windows rather that navigating users away from the forum. Basically what I mean is in an 'a' tag, setting the target to be _blank.
What was your reasoning for changing?

There are ways around it, but it's like searching for a needle in a haystack and I don't have the time at the moment.Darce wrote:You're the bosslimecat wrote:the "target" attribute is not part of the XHTML specificationDarce wrote:LC,

Re: Links
Sure people can always just right click on the link and select 'Open in New Window' anyway.

On this laptop, clicking both buttons at the same time has the same effect as clicking a middle button.Darce wrote:yeah,Danthefan wrote:In browsers with tabs (IE7, Firefox) using the middle mouse button (if you have one) causes links to be opened in a new tab.

Re: Links
Is CTRL+click not standard for IE/Firefox? Might not be, just though it was. Maybe it's only handy for those who prefer keyboard to mouse.
