Junior league semi finals this week. Any ideas of venues and fixtures. I know Pres and CBC topped their groups but I cant work out who they will be playing. I'm pretty sure that the wonderful CUS are through and I would love to go and see them

People are talking about the CUS juniors. The Seniors are very poor buts thats always the case with CUS senior teams recently

CUS Senior cup team won 4 games out of 6 in the league this year and narrowly missed out on the semi's due to conceeding a last minute try against a strong Newbridge team. Thay were average last year but the previous year they beat Pres Bray in the cup and ran St Marys very close. They may not be world beaters but they are far from being very poor.

Is it really that hard to say 'that' instead of 'dat' ect?

Good to see CUS have a good run in the league. To be fair over the years they haven't really done much in the competition in either the senior or junior section.

Senior result-CBC 6- Belvo-13

I'm just wondering why you're still using text speak when one of your first posts spawned a seperate thread about the standards of english in schools....

Are you on the Skerris SCT?

Junior League semi-final replay is on Wednesday at 2pm in Seapoint. CUS should have won the first game. The ref bottled a decision to give us a penalty under the sticks in injury time. I reckon he was playing for the draw. Our second try was dodgy at best!!!!. Both sides will have to improve if they are to have a chance against Pres Bray who by all accounts were very impressive in the other semi. Although I heard they shipped a load of injuries to some key players. Maybe our name is on the cup

I assume CUS beat KH, Newbridge beat Wesley and Pres beat Templeogue but you can never be too sure.
I can't ever remember KH losing to CUS, I think when this was posted CUS lost. I realise this is months late

CBC won the replay 14-7.

Is it just the 2 league finalists who qualify into Section C of the cup or is it all 4 semi-finalists? When are the draws being made?

All 4 i believe. 7 automatic qualifiers+4 league teams with the rest from the Junior equivelant of the Vinny Murray.

Some Senior League results
St Andrews 5 19 Kilkenny College
C.B.C. 101 3 St Columbas...slightly embarassing scoreline there, complete gulf in the standard of league schools it seems
Cistercian, Roscrea 8 9 C.U.S.
Kings Hospital 30 0 Pres. Bray
Templeogue College 13 10 Newbridge College

CBC and KH are basically through to the semis...not sure about the rest
