not really theres only 3 in the starting team last year there a fair few more for the game against ulster there was 6 i think and the u-19 team is the cub team not the schools 1 so there would want to be if you lookj at the 20s only 1 club player in the startin team and 1 posiibkly 2 on the bench

does any1 know why kearny or e. shirdan are not playin with the 20's

madigan is a better 10 than mcknly h should play 12

Nice to see us win the under 20s again, although didn't think it'd be so close ...

An injury time try from Michael Noone helped Leinster retain the Under-20 Interprovincial championship by defeating Connacht 17-10 in the Sportsground on Friday evening...
The Under-20s, sponsored by Lisney, came into Friday evening’s game in Galway on the back of victories over Ulster (27-16) and Munster (16-3) and began strongly.

Ian Madigan kicked the visitors into a 3-0 lead with a penalty in the fourth minute before Liam Carpenter powered over to score for the hosts.

Connacht held the 5-3 advantage until the interval and moved further ahead with a try from centre Eoin Griffin. It was the kick-start Leinster needed and on 55 minutes Dominic Ryan crashed over, with Madigan converting, to level the scores.

A spell of pressure ensued and in the closing minutes Leinster finally got the reward their efforts deserved when Noone touched down, with Madigan again adding the points, to seal a famous win.

LEINSTER UNDER-20:

Ian Madigan, David Kearney (Rob Johnson, 52), Eamonn Sheridan, Shane Gahan (Gary Foley, 67), Michael Keating, Ian McKinley, Matt Healy (John Cooney 15-25 blood); Jack McGrath, Tom Sexton (Andrew Pollard, 25-35 blood), Jack O'Connell (Ronan Donnelly, 70), Shane Grennell, Mark Flanagan, Steve Mahony CAPTAIN, Dominic Ryan (Eoin Cremen, 55), Michael Noone (Alex Byrne, 82)

CONNACHT UNDER-20:

John O'Brien CAPTAIN, Billy Henshaw, Eoin Griffin, David Clarke, Aengus O'Connell, Sean Joyce, Adam Kennedy, Liam Carpenter, Shane Conneely, Fergus Moyles, Mark Feeley, Joe Moran, Conor Higgins, Karl Egan

REPLACEMENTS:
