Nice to be at the RDS and not freezing my ass off.

Felt sorry for Terenure - they owned the ball in the first 20 mins, but never really looked like scoring a try. James Thornton is a quality fly half, but I think it was his poor decision which ended the game. Went blindside, threw a poor pass, knocked on, breakaway, try Blackrock. About 20 seconds between decision to change the play, and standing under your posts awaiting the conversion.

Andrew Conway had a brilliant second half, and the way Rock move through the back line is frightening. The pace they put on the ball was excellent.

They were out practising their skills 5 mins early during half time. One knock on under the posts, and punished by doing extra passing with cones. The Terenure boys looked shocked running back out. You felt Rock had it won then.

Fair play to Rock, they were outstanding at times. They really had incredible skills, size and fitness. Stating the obvious but Murphy,Macken and Conway have big futures just unfortunate for Conway that hes got such tough competition ahead of him. Thornton was excellent for Terenure too and they had a few other brilliant players who've got a chance too. Rocks second try was well finished but a little lucky and it would have been interesting if Terenure had kept up the momentum they were generating then and got a score but Rock thoroughly deserved it in the end and the decision to keep playing for tries when they could have gone for the posts/territory is something that should really be applauded.
