rock backline would be killed by monkstown and marys backlines from last year. and conway isnt the messiah, hes nt even better than michael keating from belvo last year. they just look slick cause everyone else has been hitting too many beers this year
Nah- this Rock backline 'look slick' because they are. Marys and CBC backs last year had nowhere near near the fluidity that Rock have this year, and individually, Rock as a whole are comfortably better than most, if not all, of last years squads. And Conway is no messiah- he's just an outstanding player, and while Keating is good, Conway's better. Putting Rocks dominance this year down to poor opposition is ridiculous.

Blackrock 16 - Belvedere 12

Decent game, belvo in it all the way. Blackrock full back was the difference between the sides as Belvo didn't have anyone who coud provide the same penetration. If Belvdere had kicked their penalties they could easily have turned them over

Is it over? Thought it kicked off at 4.15 for some reason... Is the Rock side at all beatable in the final do you think???

No idea about how good the remaining teams are but its certainly not the best rock team I've seen, though admittedly a good side

PS yes its over 3pm kick off

Belvo got a late try which made the score look respectable but I felt throughout the 2nd half, it was only a matter of time before Rock would pull clear. They just wore Belvo down....by the end the Belvo forward were out on their feet from all the tackling.
The numbers 8 and 13 for Rock made the hard yards and the full back finished things off. The scrum half has a good quick pass.

finals gona be a lot more compeditive than you think.
belvo should probably scrape through against zaga bt you never know
have you lost your mind? that rock team is the best schools cup team i've ever seen...... michaels weren't even that bad a team this year, only lost two pre cup games against leinster schools, clongowes are not as good as that michaels team.
i reckon belvo will scrape it past gonzaga then concede close to 50 against rock in the semi's
:happy clapper:
