Looking for a Under 21s Club 2009/10

Post by Eddie The Eagle »

Hows it going lads :D .Spent my first year in dublin enjoying myself and just never got around to joining a club. Since im from outside the pale i was wondering could someone sugest a few. Went to a Leinster boarding school for 3 years was a solid 3rds player at the end of my rugby career the highlight being a stint of JCT rugby in connacht previous to heading east. Ill tackle anything that comes at me  Could anyone recommend a club that would suit me ?

Well Tallaght's not much use to you then. And we don't have an under 21s team anyway.

From that location you've pretty much got your pick. CYM, Terenure, Guinness and Marys aren't too far away.

'Cos Bective were always the club seen as where the outside the pale culchies would drift to - esp if they came from junior ranks. That and Jimmy's trying to plug an ex-club of his :D

Have a look at what leagues they play in. If you only played 3rds in school then I'd forget Bective unless you want to play adult rugby for their J4s or something. Their 21s were just promoted, no offence but you probably wouldn't get near the side.
Most junior clubs probably will not field U21s, I'd be suprised if Guinness do.
Try find a club that either has two U21 sides or one that playes in the lower league (The JP Fanagan premier is a very high standard) or play junior adult rugby.
