It’s that time of year again where I know you’re thinking, the evenings are getting long and if only there were an activity that I could get involved in, that would keep me fit, which would gets me out in the fresh air and help me meet new and interesting people.

IRFU Bud Light Tag Rugby!!
What is Tag Rugby?
Tag Rugby is a non-contact mixed team (3 female and 4 male) game in which each player wears shorts with velcro patches. The mode of play is similar to rugby league with players attempting to dodge, evade and pass a rugby ball while defenders attempt to prevent them scoring by "tagging" - pulling a velcro attached tag from the ball carrier. It is currently that fastest growing sport in Ireland and is enjoyed by players of all shapes, sizes ages and sexes in a mixed non competitive environment where everyone is welcome.
How much is it to play?
€525 per team, which works out on average at less than €7 per person per night
When and where can I play?
The League kicks off on the 27th of May for 9 weeks culminating in the grand final’s night where every team will have something to play for. The league will be held at the Postal club on Kiltipper road.
We will be having the first of our Try Tag for Free nights on Thursday 6th of May at 19.00 in The Postal Club on Kiltipper Road, all are welcome to come along to see what it is all about weather you have a team or looking to join a team.
Just as important as the playing of the game is the social aspect of the league where special events are held where teams can mix and socialise after the game in the clubhouse. The good people of
will be running special promotions throughout the season (Please drink Bud light responsibly).
