As I'm stuck in Cork I went to see Rock beat Dolphin 21-16 yesterday. Great to see a Leinster team winning down here.

The highlight of the game??? Andrew Conway's try. He fielded a Dolphin kick ten yards inside his own half and zig-zagged his way though the Dolphin team to score a brilliant try.

There is plenty of good rugby in the AIL League.

We actually (perhaps in my own perception?) have a pretty decent record against Shannon.

Both the Ruddocks played yesterday. Hudson the U20 man scored 4 tries.

Maros needed a win and delivered big time. Get the impression that Shannon are not quite what they were.

We lost Fanj, Chops, Conor, Copeland from last year ad possibly have only got our head around that now - they were alll big players for us

It's uncommon but not unheard of for players to stick with their own clubs when they move to other provinces.

Chops is only on a 3 month contract with Connacht. Would be a bit much to expect him to sign up with a Connacht club. Daragh Fanning on the other hand has a twelve month contract and joined Galwegians.

Marys up to third in the table now after the bad start. Belvo in second after destroying Young Munster 31-0 in Tom Clifford Park.

Also, interesting that all the Dublin Sides beat their Munster opposition...

I think the rule next season is only 2 fully contracted players may play(foreign or irish),and only 1 may be a forward.

Played the full 80 minutes at 12 and made a good break from his 22 for the first try, put in a lot of good kicks to pen Shannon back to the corners and finished off the game opening the defence with an inside pass to set up Belvo's 6th try. Good game.
Andy Dunne was taking the place kicks.
Far better game to watch than the Samoa match.
