EDIT: It is the Spencer Pennant. But the cup awarded is the John Madden cup, named after a Malahide Stalwart.

Tallaght pre-season training starts back on Tuesday the 19th of July at 6.30 at Ballyman Lane training ground.
All are welcome, including complete beginners.

Our ladies team have actually been training for a few weeks now. They train Mondays and Wednesdays from seven. Tell your friend she'll welcome to come up but if she wants to ring the coach first, the contact details are on our website.

TRFC Men's Pre-Season Training Notice
Pre-season is starting on the Monday 9th of July at 7:00 In Tymon Park, near the basketball arena. All newcomers welcome regardless of experience.
The first game of the season will be the Spencer Cup, on Saturday 25th August, Tallaght RFC v Railway Union.

Tallaght RFC was formed in 2002 and set up it's first senior men's team in 2006 and more recently formed a ladies team in 2011. The club now wishes to turn it's attentions to the future of Tallaght Rugby and are delighted to host this Youth Open Day.
TRFC wish to invite aspiring rugby players of 6th class age to attend the open day.

How are the Tallaght youth structures doing?
Has there been much success in feeding senior teams - I remember of a couple of representative honours in the youth ranks (helped by quality coaching by Leinster Branch (or maybe IRFU) YDO's. Is there any signs of youths breaking into or close to senior representative ranks?
I know my cliub started a similar operation which would have looked to the Tallaght project for guidance and moreso inspiration alongthe lines of "Build it and they will come".
