It seems that cus are into the final of the amlin challenge cup. Having beaten Wesley 17 : 10
Edit; press(Pres Bray, bloody spellcheck) and newbridge drew the other semi. Love to see cus and newbridge. For personal reasons.

Clongowes into the final with a 34-20 win over Michael's. Excellent second half performance, especially from their pack.
Look out Itchy, he's Irish
Re: Schools Rugby 2010/11 - SCT
Yeah Michaels did well in the first half and their centres and full-back were very sharp. However the Clongowes pack took over in the second half and just killed them. Very impressed with their hooker, tighthead and number eight.cormac wrote:Clongowes into the final with a 34-20 win over Michael's. Excellent second half performance, especially from their pack.
Re: Schools Rugby 2010/11 - SCT
Is the scrum push law universal for under-age rugby or is just in Ireland? Clongowes totally dominated at scrum-time and would have won far more comfortably were they not confined by the 1.5m push law. I can understand the need for it on safety grounds at many under-age levels but it seems a bit redundant at what is essentially U-19's.Donny B. wrote:Yeah Michaels did well in the first half and their centres and full-back were very sharp. Anyone know where I'd be able to watch this match online? I think it's being showed on setanta at 5 today.
Noel Reid and James Rodriguez were separated at birth.

Odds on for Clongowes to win this years title! Their forward pack are something else for 16,17 and 18 year olds!

Think it would be a massive shock if they don't now they've Roscrea in the final. They beat Gerards 18-14 today.Armchair wrote:Odds on for Clongowes to win this years title! Their forward pack are something else for 16,17 and 18 year olds!

The 1.5 metre push is an U-19 law variationcormac wrote:

Step aside Grumpy; CUS boys are on the road again, on the road again, on the road again....repeat, until someone hits you.johng wrote:For the purposes of this discussion. Newbridge are munster.

And yes I know we dress like Munster. That is an anomaly due to a hole in the spacetime continuum.

Re: Schools Rugby 2010/11 - SCT
Newbridge beat us in the League but that was due to a dodgy TJ call by some Newbridge pupil running the line.

Not a chance! We are Leinster, we produced Mushy but no way will we be called Munster we are winners and are about to hand CUS a hidingjohng wrote:For the purposes of this discussion. Newbridge are munster.

May the best team win on the day. I have a lot of family (Who I will now proceed to slag the ar$e off) that went to Newbridge.

Re: Schools Rugby 2010/11 - SCT
Clongowes are unreal. Their pack have handling skills that half the senior forwards in Ireland don't have. Outhalf is a lovely runner of the ball. They're going to absolutely trounce Roscrea here. These finals rarely see large gaps at the end but this is going to be a tonking. 14-0 after 14 minutes.
