Has the Leinster Junior squad for 2011 been picked/announced yet?
If so, can you post it?

They had their final trial last night against Greystones, won comfortably. They haven't lost a game since May 2007 and are unbeaten in 11. However those sides were backboned by Navan, Seapoint, CIll Dara, Tullamore and Boyne, the former 2 are gone senior, the middle two have regressed considerably so if they do win 4 titles in a row this year it will be a signifigant achievement. First game is against Munster Friday 29th under lights down in Charleville.

From munster website;

Munster 24 - Leinster 30. :happy clapper:
Leinster laid the foundation for this victory in the opening half when they led 25-16 at half time.
Dave Murphy, Gavin Kennedy and Bevan Duffy scored tries for the visitors in the opening forty minutes. Brian Croke converted two of the tries and also added two penalties.

Skipper Ger Luby replied with a try for Munster and Dara Meade converted and kicked three penalties.

Bevan Duffy secured the bonus point with a fourth Leinster try early in the second half. Munster responded with a try from substitute Brian O’Sullivan and Meade added a penalty but despite a late rally Munster were unable to add to their total.

Scorers Munster: Ger Luby, Brian O’Sullivan tries, Dara Meade con, 4 pens.
Leinster: Brian Croke try, 2 cons, 2 pens, Dave Murphy, Gavin Kennedy and Bevan Duffy tries.

Preview from http://www.knockon.ie/?p=6184:

Leinster v Ulster, Coolmine, 2:30

Both these sides have a shot if Connacht slip up although Ulster’s poor points difference leaves them needing a bonus point win to stand a chance. They sit in third on five points four behind the westerners and one back from Leinster.

For the home side the task is only slightly more straight forward, a win without a bonus point will be enough to take a fifth title on the bounce if Connacht lose by more than eight. Otherwise they’ll need a win and a bonus.

All that aside, this is about redemption for both sides, Ulster were overwhelmed by Connacht in round one but bounced back well against Munster in Limavady and could take an awful lot from the campaign if they were to finish with two wins.

Leinster were really exposed in the first half against Connacht and while the second half revival made a real contest of it they were left with too much to do and can’t have much complaints. It was a blow and they will want to make amends here, we think they will.
