Could have been worse Donny, Armagh eased off during a while in the second half and gifted them 14 points, then decided that was enough and run in another 2 trys.

Good going for what was a junior club until this season - is it the upwardly mobile momentum thing that has helped other AIL newcomers in the past like eg Midleton and Ballynahinch I wonder.

Since Armagh have got into the senior ranks have they picked up players whose natural home would be there - Armagh Royal won the Ulster Schools Cup in 2004 and have generally done well over the past 10 years or so back to the days of Bowe and Steenson.

Can you guys name a team of 'Armagh men' playing senior rugby at the moment for the club or elsewhere - would be pretty useful I'd say!

For starters - Bowe, Steenson, Faloon, McAllister. Is Atkinson still playing? Was Birch Armagh Royal?

Birch was RSA, also James Sandford now playing with London Irish

Mark Blair and Andy Dougan could both probably still do a job at that level!! Not sure about Brian McCall now though

Trying to remember others from the Cup winning team or around then - Michael Hooks played QUB for a few years. Ethan Allen went to Dungannon? Chris Knipe? James McCall has played senior rugby elsewhere - is he one of the ones back at Armagh now? Orr and Cornett? Bartholomew looked a handy scrum half in that team.

Looks like the relegation battle in the AIL DIV 4 will be in Leinster this year with Wanderers and Naas off to a bad start.
